For its part, the gold market stayed relatively steady from the previous year which resulted in a total bullion mintage relatively unchanged from 1994. Gold came in at $383.79 an ounce for the year, down $.21 from where it averaged the previous year.
A special 10th Anniversary Gold Eagle Set was produced by the US Mint in 1995. It contained all four versions of the Proof Gold Eagles (One Ounce, 1/2 Ounce, 1/4 Ounce and 1/10 Ounce) as well as a special West Point struck Silver Eagle.

Proof Eagle mintage also remained relatively unchanged even with the inclusion of the special 10th Anniversary Set. Evidently, collectors opted for the set instead of their typical individual coin orders.
The chart below shows the total mintage of 1995-dated Proof Gold Eagles which includes the number sold as part of the Gold Eagle 4-Coin Set (of which 8,718 were sold). It also includes coins sold as part of the 30,102 10th Anniversary Gold Eagle Sets issued by the Mint.
