2010 Hot Springs National Park 5 oz Silver Uncirculated Coin
The 2010 Hot Springs National Park 5 oz Silver Uncirculated Coin will be released by the US Mint as the first strike in its America the Beautiful Five Ounce Uncirculated Coin Series. The coins are the collector grade versions of the Mint’s America the Beautiful Silver Bullion Coin™ Program.

Both of those series are struck from five ounces of .999 fine silver and contain imagery similar to the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program. As such, an image of George Washington will be featured on the obverse with a design emblematic of a site of national interest on the reverse. In this case, the reverse will represent Hot Springs National Park of Arkansas.
A total of fifty-six coins will be struck in this series with one strike emblematic of a site from each state in the United States, the District of Columbia and the five U.S. territories.
2010 America the Beautiful Silver Uncirculated Coins
The Mint will issue a total of five 2010-dated America the Beautiful Silver Uncirculated Coins:
- 2010 Hot Springs National Park 5 oz Silver Uncirculated Coin
- 2010 Yellowstone National Park 5 oz Silver Uncirculated Coin
- 2010 Yosemite National Park 5 oz Silver Bullion Uncirculated Coin
- 2010 Grand Canyon National Park 5 oz Silver Bullion Uncirculated Coin
- 2010 Mount Hood National Forest 5 oz Silver Bullion Uncirculated Coin
Although struck in 2010 with a 2010 date, these five coins due not actually have a release date until early 2011.
Issue Information
These strikes are identical to the bullion versions struck for collectors, but contain a mintmark of "P" and an uncirculated finish which typically results in a higher level of detail.

U.S. Mint Production Facility
These strikes will be produced at the US Mint’s facility in Philadelphia.
Designer & Sculptor
A portrait of the First President of the United States, George Washington, will be found on the obverse of the coin. The design was the original work of John Flanagan.
The reverse (tails side) was designed by Don Everhart and sculpted by Joseph Menna to show the facade of the Hot Springs National Park headquarters building with a thermal fountain featured in front of it.
