Those two programs are the Presidential Coin Series, represented by the Abraham Lincoln Presidential $1 Coin, and the First Spouse Gold Coin Series, represented by the Mary Todd Lincoln Bronze Medal.

Coins of the First Spouse series are normally struck from 1/2 ounce of .9999 fine gold, but for the purposes of this set, a bronze likeness of the Mary Lincoln Gold Coin will be included.

Previous Presidential Coin & Spouse Medal Sets

This set marks the seventeenth in the series which debuted in 2007. The Lincoln Coin and Medal Set was preceded by:

The previous list indicates a few special circumstances as the program applies to the First Spouse coins and medals. First, if the President had no spouse while serving in office, an image of Liberty will be showcased on the affiliated Spouse coin and medal. If the President had more than one spouse while serving, they will all be featured on separate coins and medals.
