Struck similar to the America the Beautiful Silver Bullion Coins™ also from the Mint, these uncirculated strikes are meant for collectors. Both series, however, are composed of five ounces of .999 fine silver and feature a diameter of three inches. Both also feature the same basic designs as a third series from the US Mint – the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program.
These silver uncirculated coins are sold directly from the US Mint, when available. This is in contrast to the bullion coins which are sold through the Mint’s network of authorized purchasers.
2010 America the Beautiful Silver Uncirculated Coins
In keeping with the same format as the other previously mentioned programs, the US Mint produced these five 2010-dated strikes of the five ounce silver coins:
- 2010 Hot Springs National Park 5 oz Silver Uncirculated Coin
- 2010 Yellowstone National Park 5 oz Silver Uncirculated Coin
- 2010 Yosemite National Park 5 oz Silver Bullion Uncirculated Coin
- 2010 Grand Canyon National Park 5 oz Silver Bullion Uncirculated Coin
- 2010 Mount Hood National Forest 5 oz Silver Bullion Uncirculated Coin
The Mint did strike these coins in 2010, but they show a release date of early 2011 owing to difficulties the Mint had in producing them initially.
