2011 Gettysburg National Military Park Quarter Two-Roll Set
Issued by the US Mint, the 2011 Gettysburg National Military Park Quarter Two-Roll Set includes a total of eighty coins honoring the military park and representing the sixth strike of the America the Beautiful Quarters™ Program.

One of the rolls included in the set will contain 40 circulation quality strikes from the US Mint’s facility in Denver and one roll will contain 40 circulation quality strikes from the US Mint’s facility in Philadelphia. Each will be wrapped in special Mint wrapping indicating its contents.
These coins are the first for the program to be struck in 2011.
2011 America the Beautiful Quarters
Five America the Beautiful Quarters are scheduled to be released in 2011 presumably along with their corresponding two-roll sets. Those slated to be released are:
- 2011 Gettysburg National Military Park Quarter representing Pennsylvania
- 2011 Glacier National Park Quarter representing Montana
- 2011 Olympic National Park Quarter representing Washington
- 2011 Vicksburg National Military Park Quarter representing Mississippi
- 2011 Chickasaw National Recreation Area Quarter representing Oklahoma
The US Mint should also be producing 100-coin bags of the Gettysburg Quarters with the coins within struck at either the US Mint’s facility in Denver or the Mint’s facility in Philadelphia – buyer’s choice.
Issue Information
The two-roll sets are wrapped in special Mint wrapping indicating the specific contents of Gettysburg Quarters, the face value of $10 per roll and the Mint of origin (P for Philadelphia or D for Denver).
Release Date
The Gettysburg Two-Roll Sets were issued on January 27, 2011.
Issue Price
The US Mint charged $39.95 per two-roll set when first issued.
U.S. Mint Production Facility
One roll contains forty circulation quality quarters struck at the US Mint’s facility in Denver and one roll contains forty circulation quality quarters struck at the US Mint’s facility in Philadelphia.
Designer & Sculptor / Engraver
John Flanagan’s portrait of the first President of the United States, George Washington, has been featured on the obverse (heads side) of the quarter dollar since 1932. A version of that same portrait will be seen on the Mount Hood Quarter as well as all of the other America the Beautiful Quarter Dollars.
The 72nd Pennsylvania Infantry Monument is depicted on the reverse of the coin. The design was completed by Joel Iskowitz and sculpted by Phebe Hemphill.
