This series of America the Beautiful Silver Uncirculated Coins is one of three that contain the same basic design elements. The other two include strikes of the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program and strikes of the America the Beautiful Silver Bullion Coins™. The quarters serve as the base for the other two programs with all three featuring a face value of $.25. However, the silver coins are worth much more than their face value indicates as they are struck from five ounces of .999 fine silver.
The silver strikes feature a diameter of three inches with the main discernable difference between the two being their purpose. The bullion coins are struck to bullion quality and released for investors through the Mint’s network of authorized purchasers. The uncirculated strikes feature an uncirculated finish and are intended for collectors. These are initially sold directly to the public by the Mint.
