2012 Chaco Culture National Historical Park 5 oz Silver Bullion Coin
The 2012 Chaco Culture National Historical Park 5 oz Silver Bullion Coin will be the second America the Beautiful Silver Bullion Coin® to be released by the United States Mint in 2012.

It will celebrate and honor the national park which is located in New Mexico. Chaco was originally established as the Chaco Canyon National Monument by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1907 to help preserve the remains of the largest buildings ever created in the Western hemisphere prior to the 1800′s.
The Chaco Silver Bullion Coins will be the twelfth released in the series by the Mint out of fifty-six that are scheduled to appear as part of the program which runs through 2021. The Mint will issue each strike on a schedule tied to the circulating America the Beautiful Quarters® Program.
2012 America the Beautiful Silver Bullion Coins
The US Mint will issue a total of five America the Beautiful Silver Bullion Coins in 2012:
- 2012 El Yunque National Forest 5 oz Silver Bullion Coin representing Puerto Rico
- 2012 Chaco Culture National Historical Park 5 oz Silver Bullion Coin representing New Mexico
- 2012 Acadia National Park 5 oz Silver Bullion Coin representing Maine
- 2012 Hawaii Volcanoes National Park 5 oz Silver Bullion Coin representing Hawaii
- 2012 Denali National Park 5 oz Silver Bullion Coin representing Alaska
These strikes are the eleventh through the fifteenth in a series which debuted in 2010 and will run through 2021 while honoring one site selected from each state, the District of Columbia and the territories of the United States.

Each America the Beautiful Silver Bullion Coin will be released in the same year as the corresponding circulating America the Beautiful Quarter Dollar is released.

Designer & Sculptor
John Flanagan designed the original image of George Washington that was first featured on the 1932 circulating quarter dollar. That image of the first President of the United States has been on the quarter ever since (in one form or another) and will also be featured on the obverse (heads side) of all of the America the Beautiful Silver Bullion Coins.
A design showcasing a portion of Chaco Culture National Historical Park will be found on the reverse (tails side) of the silver bullion coin.
