Mount Rushmore was initially established in 1925, a few years before work on the sculpture even began. It is located in the Black Hills of South Dakota and contains the sixty-foot faces of four past Presidents of the United States – George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt. The sculptor, Gutzon Borglum began construction in 1927 and worked on it until his death in 1941. His son, Lincoln, continued his work until a lack of funds ended the project.

100 circulation quality strikes from either the US Mint’s facility in Denver or the US Mint’s facility in Philadelphia will be placed in each bag by the Mint. Buyers will have the choice of which facility they would like their strikes to be from.
