Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial was officially established in 1936 as a national monument. Located in Put-In-Bay, Ohio, the memorial commemorates not only the victory that Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry commanded over British Naval forces in the War of 1812, but also the lasting peace that has occurred between the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada since then.

The Mint will place 100 circulation quality strikes of the Perry’s Quarter in each bag. Buyers will have the choice of whether those quarters were struck at the US Mint’s facility in Philadelphia or the Mint’s facility in Denver.
