White Mountain National Forest is found in the northeastern part of the continental United States, mostly within the state of New Hampshire. The forest contains a total of 784,505 acres and was initially established in 1918. Owing to its proximity to large populations of people, White Mountain is one of the most visited national forests in the entire system.

Each bag will be loaded with 100 circulation quality strikes from either the US Mint’s facility in Denver or 100 circulation quality strikes from the US Mint’s facility in Philadelphia -buyers choice. The bag will contain a special label sewn into the closing stitches showing its specific contents of White Mountain Quarters.

The five America the Beautiful Quarters scheduled to be issued in 2013 are:

  • 2013 White Mountain America the Beautiful Quarter representing New Hampshire
  • 2013 Perry’s Victory America the Beautiful Quarter representing Ohio
  • 2013 Great Basin America the Beautiful Quarter representing Nevada
  • 2013 Fort McHenry America the Beautiful Quarter representing Maryland
  • 2013 Mount Rushmore America the Beautiful Quarter representing South Dakota

These White Mountain National Forest Quarters are the sixteenth strikes of the America the Beautiful Program, but the first to be released in 2013.

Designer & Sculptor / Engraver

John Flanagan designed the portrait of George Washington that is featured on the obverse (heads side) of the coin. The image of the first President of the United States was initially used on the quarter dollar in 1932.
