Each of these .999 fine silver bullion coins will feature a reverse design honoring the national forest which is located in New Hampshire (with a small portion in the neighboring state of Maine). White Mountain was established in 1918 after an initial 7,000 acres were purchased by the federal government a few years earlier for the sole purpose of establishing a national forest.
These coins will feature the same basic designs as found on the circulating America the Beautiful Quarters® Program, also from the US Mint. However, as each is struck from five ounces of silver to a diameter of three inches, their size and weight will be much larger. Also, to indicate the coin’s contents, and edge inscription on the bullion pieces will show its weight and fineness.
