2014 Arches National Park Quarter Rolls

The 2014 Arches National Park Quarter Rolls will be the third of five roll sets to be issued in 2014 by the US Mint that contain strikes of the America the Beautiful Quarters™ Program.

Arches National Park is located in eastern Utah and was initially established as a national monument on April 12, 1929. The government redesignated it a national park in 1971. Found within the park’s boundaries are over 2,000 delicate sandstone arches. In fact, the arches are so delicate that dozens of them have topped in the last 40 years due to erosion.

Each roll contains forty circulation quality strikes of the Arches National Park Quarter Dollar. They represent the twenty-third quarter to be issued in the program.

2014 America the Beautiful Quarters

The US Mint will issue five America the Beautiful Quarters in 2014:

  • 2014 Great Smoky Mountains National Park Quarter representing Tennessee
  • 2014 Shenandoah National Park Quarter representing Virginia
  • 2014 Arches National Park Quarter representing Utah
  • 2014 Great Sand Dunes National Park Quarter representing Colorado
  • 2014 Everglades National Park Quarter representing Florida

One roll will contain 40 quarters from the US Mint’s facility in Denver and one roll will be from the US Mint’s facility in Philadelphia.

Issue Information

Each roll will indicate the face value of the contents ($10), as well as the specific strikes contained within (Arches National Park Quarters). Also shown will be an initial indicating which Mint facility produced the strikes, D for Denver or P for Philadelphia.

Honored State or Territory

Arches National Park is located in eastern Utah which was admitted to the Union on January 4, 1896, the 45th state to do so.

U.S. Mint Production Facility

One roll will contain strikes from the US Mint’s facility in Philadelphia and one roll will contain strikes from the US Mint’s facility in Denver.

Designer & Sculptor / Engraver

A portrait of George Washington, the first President of the United States is found on the obverse (heads side) of all of the America the Beautiful Coins. It was originally designed by John Flanagan for the 1932 circulating quarter dollar.

The reverse (tails side) of the Arches Quarter will showcase a portion of the national park.
