Shenandoah National Park is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. The park is best known for its Skyline Drive but many other recreational opportunities can be found there aside from sight-seeing. Some of those include camping, hiking and fishing. The park was authorized as early as 1926, but was not officially established until 1935.

The US Mint wraps each roll in special Mint wrapping. Imprinted on each wrapper is the face value of the roll ($10), the specific strikes contained within (Shenandoah National Park Quarters) and the initial of the US Mint facility responsible for striking them (D for Denver or P for Philadelphia).
