2015 Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge Quarter Rolls
The 2015 Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge Quarter Rolls will be the fourth of five roll sets in 2015 to contain strikes of the US Mint’s America the Beautiful Quarters™ Program.

Bombay Hook is located in the state of Delaware and consists of a relatively small 15,978 acres. However, within that small area are hundreds of species of plant and animal life. In fact, over 350 different species of birds have been spotted within the refuge boundaries at one time or another. The refuge was established on March 16, 1937 after the land was purchased from local land-owners using funds raised from the Federal Duck Stamp Program.
Two rolls will be included in the set. One roll will contain 40 circulation quality quarters from the US Mint’s facility in Philadelphia and one roll will contain 40 circulation quality quarters from the US Mint’s facility in Denver.
2015 America the Beautiful Quarters
Five America the Beautiful Quarters are issued by the US Mint annually. Those scheduled for 2015 are:
- 2015 Homestead National Monument of America Quarter representing Nebraska
- 2015 Kisatchie National Forest Quarter representing Louisiana
- 2015 Blue Ridge Parkway Quarter representing North Carolina
- 2015 Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge Quarter representing Delaware
- 2015 Saratoga National Historical Park Quarter representing New York
The Bombay Hook Quarters mark the twenty-ninth for the America the Beautiful Quarters Program.
Issue Information
An initial placed on the special Mint wrapping of each roll indicates which minting facility produced the strikes within – P for Philadelphia or D for Denver.
Honored State or Territory
The state of Delaware is represented by the Bombay Hook Quarters. Delaware was the first state admitted to the Union which occurred on December 7, 1787.

U.S. Mint Production Facility
One roll in the set will contain strikes from the US Mint’s facility in Denver and one roll will contain strikes from the US Mint’s facility in Philadelphia.
Designer & Sculptor / Engraver
John Flanagan designed the portrait of George Washington that is found on the obverse (heads side) of all of the America the Beautiful coins. The image of the first President of the United States was initially featured on the circulating 1932 quarter dollar.
A portion of the Bombay Hook Refuge will be featured on the reverse (tails side) of the quarter.
