2015 Saratoga National Historical Park Quarter Rolls

The final of five roll sets to be issued in 2015 by the US Mint as part of the America the Beautiful Quarters™ Program will be the 2015 Saratoga National Historical Park Quarter Rolls.

Located in the state of New York, Saratoga National Historical Park was initially established on June 1, 1938. The National Park Service took control of the site from the state of New York which had created the area as a historic preserve eleven years earlier. It protects the location of the American Revolutionary War Battle of Saratoga. That battle is credited with being the first major victory of American forces over the British.

Two rolls will be included in the set. One roll will contain 40 circulation quality quarters from the US Mint’s facility in Philadelphia and one roll will contain 40 circulation quality quarters from the US Mint’s facility in Denver.

2015 America the Beautiful Quarters

The US Mint will issue five America the Beautiful Quarters in 2015:

  • 2015 Homestead National Monument of America Quarter representing Nebraska
  • 2015 Kisatchie National Forest Quarter representing Louisiana
  • 2015 Blue Ridge Parkway Quarter representing North Carolina
  • 2015 Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge Quarter representing Delaware
  • 2015 Saratoga National Historical Park Quarter representing New York

The America the Beautiful Quarters Program will be in its thirtieth issue with the release of these Saratoga Quarters.

Issue Information

The Mint will wrap each roll of 40 circulation quality quarters in special Mint wrapping. Each roll will indicate the specific strikes contained within (Saratoga Quarters) as well as the initial of the minting facility responsible for striking them – P for Philadelphia or D for Denver.

Honored State or Territory

The state of New York (admitted to the Union on July 26, 1788, the 11th state to do so) is represented by this Saratoga Quarter.

U.S. Mint Production Facility

One roll in the set will contain strikes from the US Mint’s facility in Denver and one roll will contain strikes from the US Mint’s facility in Philadelphia.

Designer & Sculptor / Engraver

A portrait of George Washington, the first President of the United States, is featured on the obverse (heads side) of each America the Beautiful coin. It was designed by John Flanagan and first used on the 1932 circulating quarter dollar.

A portion of Saratoga National Historical Park will be featured on the reverse (tails side) of the quarter.
