Effigy Mounds National Monument is located in the northeastern part of the state of Iowa. The monument preserves over 200 earthen mounds created by Native Americans who lived in the area centuries ago. Making the site even more unique (as well as giving the monument its name), 31 of the mounds were created as effigies meaning they are in the shape of a bird, mammal or reptile.

Buyer’s will receive two rolls when they place an order from the Mint for this set. One roll will contain circulation quality strikes from the US Mint’s facility in Philadelphia and one roll will contain circulation quality strikes from the US Mint’s facility in Denver.
