American Memorial Park, located on the island of Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands is represented by the quarters found in this two-roll set. The park was established on August 18, 1978 as more of a living memorial to all of those who sacrificed during the Marianas campaign of World War II. Approximately 133 acres are included inside the park’s boundaries.

The Mint wraps each roll in special Mint wrapping. On the wrapping, an initial indicates whether the circulation quality strikes within were produced at the US Mint’s facility in Philadelphia or the US Mint’s facility in Denver.
