Each strike in the roll contains a reverse image honoring Lowell National Historical Park which is located in the state of Massachusetts. Established on June 5, 1978, Lowell was initially created as a top-of-the-line textile manufacturing center a century and a half earlier. Unfortunately, as the industry trended towards overseas production in the mid-1900′s, Lowell fell into disrepair. This led to a restoration movement of which the National Park Service was a part.

Each roll in the set is wrapped in special Mint wrapping indicating which facility struck the quarters within – A "P’ indicates Philadelphia and a ‘D" indicated Denver.
