Strikes in the roll honor the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park which is located in the city of San Antonio, Texas. That park preserves four of the five centuries old Spanish frontier missions that were built in the area. Those four missions are the Mission Concepcion, Mission San Jose, Mission San Juan, and Mission Espada. A fifth better known mission is owned by the state of Texas and is called the Alamo.

Each roll is wrapped in special Mint wrapping indicating the $10 face value of the roll, the specific quarters included inside (San Antonio Missions Quarters) and an initial for the minting facility which produced them (P for Philadelphia or D for Denver).
