The 2019 War in the Pacific America the Beautiful Quarter Bags will be the third of five bag releases by the US Mint in 2019 to contain strikes of the America the Beautiful Quarters™ Program.

The War in the Pacific National Historical Park was established on August 18, 1978 on the island of Guam. The 2,037 acre facility is located at several different spots on the island and is unique among national park operatings due to the fact that it honors all of those who participated in the Pacific Theater of World War II including individuals from the countries of the United States, Great Britian, Japan, Australia and several others.

100 circulation quality strikes will be placed in each bag by the Mint. The strikes will either by from the US Mint’s facility in Denver or the US Mint’s facility in Philadelphia – buyers choice.

2019 America the Beautiful Quarters

Five America the Beautiful Quarters will be issued by the US Mint in 2019:

  • 2019 Lowell America the Beautiful Quarter representing Massachusetts
  • 2019 American Memorial America the Beautiful Quarter representing the Northern Mariana Islands
  • 2019 War in the Pacific America the Beautiful Quarter representing Guam
  • 2019 San Antonio Missions America the Beautiful Quarter representing Texas
  • 2019 Frank Church River of No Return America the Beautiful Quarter representing Idaho

The America the Beautiful Program will be in its forty-eighth release with the issue of the War in the Pacific Quarter.

Issue Information

A label sewn onto each bag will indicate whether the strikes contained within are from the US Mint’s facility in Denver or from the US Mint’s facility in Philadelphia.

Honored State or Territory

The United States territory of Guam is represented by these strikes.

Release Date

A release date for the War in the Pacific Quarter products has not been announced by the US Mint.

Issue Price

The US Mint has not announced an issue price for bags of the War in the Pacific Quarters.

Buyers will have the choice of 100 circulation quality strikes from either the US Mint’s facility in Denver or the US Mint’s facility in Philadelphia.

Designer & Sculptor / Engraver

Each obverse (heads side) of an America the Beautiful coin contains a portrait of George Washington. The image of the first President of the United States was designed by John Flanagan.

A portion of the War in the Pacific Park will be showcased on the reverse (tails side) of each quarter.
